Favorite Trader Joe’s Items

If you now me, you know I love Trader Joe’s. These are what I’ve determined to be “The BEST of Trader Joe’s.” Although I clearly buy other products there, these are my go-to items that I will specifically go to Trader Joe’s to get or the items I buy time and time again when I’m there. I do buy some produce and meat at TJ’s but only if I’m too lazy to go to my local grocery store chain. I prefer to buy local produce and local meat because it’s fresh.  This is MY list of favorite items and I’m sure

Food Items

7 Grain Sprouted Bread – I Love this bread, I probably eat it every morning. It’s cheaper, has more protein, and tastes better than Ezekiel bread.

Pretzel roll sticks – I don’t think I have to explain this one, if you love soft pretzels, you’ll love this.

Endives – I’v only ever seen these at a couple other stores around here and they are wayyy more expensive.  I like to wrap the endives in turkey or ham and cheese and bake in the oven. Otherwise, I’ll chop them up raw and add them to salads. They are delicious either way!

Unsulfured dried mango – I have to be careful with this mango, because I can easily eat half the bag on my 10 minute drive home. I have no self control when it comes to this treat, so I don’t buy it all that often.

Unsalted peanut butter – I like the creamy and the crunch version of this peanut butter.  I but peanut butter that only has one ingredient, dry roasted peanuts, that’s it. No one needs that other crap in their peanut butter. Why do I buy unsalted? Because you don’t need salt in your peanut butter, and you especially don’t need added sugars. Once you stop eating salted peanut butter you’ll start to think that “regular” peanut butter is incredibly salty. Once I mix up the oil I store mine in the fridge so it doesn’t separate again.

Everything But the Bagel Seasoning – You could buy all the ingredients to make this seasoning yourself, or you can just buy it in this cute little jar. It’s great on everything from breakfast to veggies and snacks!

Nutritional Yeast – I use this all the time. It’s a great “cheese” alternative if you are vegan, and it simply tastes great and adds a little flavor to meals. I typically add it to my breakfasts on the weekend.

Cooking Oils – I have the olive oil spray and the avocado oil. I purchased the avocado oil because it has a higher smoke point than olive oil.

Coconut Granola – After I bought this the first time, I knew I needed more. If you don’t like coconut it’s not for you, but if you’re a fan, you need this in your life.  When I went back to the store for it I couldn’t find it and I prayed it was not one of those “seasonal” items.  You know what I’m talking about, you try it and love it, and it’s gone forever. Thankfully that was not the case with this granola and it’s still not he shelves to this day, about a year later. Phew!

Naan Bread – If you read this post, you know I love this naan bread. Go read that post, and no further explanation needed. Plus it’s just delicious with peanut butter, as a side for soup, etc.

Frozen mango – These frozen mango chunks are amazing. They are creamy and oh so sweet. It’s the perfect after dinner treat!

Raspberry and Cream/Mango and Cream Bars – If you read my May Favorites post, you know that I’ve been chowing down on these sweet little treats.

Sparkling Water – I like to add a little sparkle to my life.  I primarily drink plain water 99.9% of the time, so I’ll open one of these every now and then.  I always have at least one in my fridge. They aren’t sweetened and have just a subtle hint of flavor. They have also come out with some unique flavors recently although the mandarin orange and the raspberry lime are two of my favorites.

Non Food Items

Flowers – What’s better than a small bouquet of flowers for as cheap as $3.99, I can’t think of many things.  Some of them do get more expensive than that, but in general their flowers are very reasonably priced.

Mid Summer Night’s Cream – I always have a jar of this on my desk at work. My hands get really dry from the soap at work and especially in the winter, so I always keep this handy.

Does anyone have any favorite TJ’s items? I love trying new things so leave a comment!
