My New West Elm Dresser

I’ve been looking at new dressers for what felt like forever. I didn’t NEED a new dresser, but I didmd really like the style of my old one anymore. I was having an internal battle with wanting versus needing.

Well my want finally won. I love midcentury modern style, and I love West Elm! Naturally that’s where I started looking. I looked elsewhere too, but when I saw the Roar + Rabbit™ Brass Geo Inlay 6-Drawer Dresser – Raw Mango, and it was on sale, I couldn’t get it out of my mind. I loved the variation in colors of the wood, and the brass inlay details. Its seriously gorgeous. The other cool thing is that it’s made in a Fair Trade Certified™ facility.

So what did I do? I bought it! I had to say that I LOVE it! It is much smaller than my original dresser, so thats taken some time getting used to. I knew what size it was going to be before I bought it, but the drawers aren’t very deep. The dresser is really well made, and I’m so happy I bought it.

Naturally I also needed a new lamp and mirror for my new dresser! I decided on the Metal Frame Hexagon Mirror (in brass) and the Metalized Glass Table Lamp + USB – Small (Green). I love that all of these have the same brass details, which really pulls them all together. The mirror was packaged really well, so it arrived unscathed. I debated which way to hang it, but I’m happy with the alignment we chose. What’s really cool about the lamp is that it has a USB plug on the back, so you can easily charge electronics without having to plug into the wall (because your lamp is probably taking up the outlet). I like that the USB plugin is on the back of the lamp, so its not in your face like a hotel lamp. I liked it so much that I bought the Staggered Glass Table Lamp + USB for my bedside table! It also has the USB plugin! P.S. the wall stencil was from Royal Design Studio.

Overall I’m really happy with the new items I bought, and I feel like it really upgraded the entire room.
