Fabletics Review

Yeah, those 2 for $24 legging adds got me too, they got me good! Fall of 2017 I was in Chicago and went into a Fabletics store. Before this point in time, I had resisted all things Fabletics (even when my friends had used it). I saw these leggings that were kind of a coral/peach color with a rose gold metallic pattern over top. I HAD to have them, but they were $60+ dollars in the store. I don’t remember the exact price, but I know they were more than I was willing to pay for a brand that I wasn’t sure I would LOVE. Fast forward to about a year ago, and I remember seeing the 2 for $24 add for Fabletics everywhere. Lucky for me those rose gold leggings were part of that deal, so I figured for $12 a pair…what do I have to lose?? Yep, that’s how I got sucked in as well. Since that time I think I’ve only purchased one or two outfits, skipped most months, and was charged (dang it I swear I skipped) for one month.

So if you’re unfamiliar with Fabletics, here’s how it works. They curate outfits every month and for approximately $50-$70 you can purchase the entire outfit. Some outfits include leggings, sports bra, and top, some include leggings and sports bra, some include a jacket, etc. etc. There are a lot of options as far as outfits, or you can simply buy any piece that you want from their website.

They get you with the VIP sign up though. If you’re not VIP leggings cost wayyy more than if you sign up for VIP. So you’re kind of thinking “why would I not sign up for VIP?” The catch is, and why I never signed up previously, is that you sign up for a membership and you either have to select an outfit every month, skip the month through their website, or you get charged. Getting charged isn’t the end of the world, as you get that credit placed into your account for future purchases, but it still sucks. I also learned recently that if there is a sale or promotion going on, you can’t use your credit for the items. You can only do the sale or do your credit, you can’t use them in conjunction, which really irritates me…it’s my money.

I’ve also heard it can be a pain to try to cancel your membership, although I can’t vouch for that personally as I still have mine.

Ok back to the good stuff…what did I think of the actual activewear?

I purchased the Beth set which included high wasted leggings and a sports bra. The color on both of these items is such a pretty purple color. It was another one of those “have to have it” items when I saw it on a local Instagrammer.

I also purchased the Adair set. This set included high wasted leggings and a tank top. I really bought this set because of the color of the leggings. It is so pretty! Are you sensing a pattern here?

Fabletics Leggings and Tank Top

Overall, I think the leggings, sports bra, and top are a decent quality. If you’re expecting Athleta Powervita leggings or Ptula leggings, you’re going to be sad! The material of these leggings is much more on the cotton(y) side of legging material. Looking at the tag they are made of 88% Polyester/12% Elastane.

Although they aren’t my favorite leggings, I still wear them frequently. For the price, I do think you are getting a pretty awesome product. I’m not saying they are bad leggings at all, they just aren’t the BEST leggings out there, but for the price, they are pretty nice! I’m also sure I’m not done buying my last pair of Fabletics activewear.

If you think you can remember to skip if you aren’t purchasing or select an outfit every month, I don’t think there is a reason not to try out Fabletics. That’s just my opinion though!
