What’s in My Gym Bag

Do you ever notice that some people refuse to use the locker room at the gym? Why do people insist on putting their coat, keys, water bottle, bag, etc. in the stretching area.  There’s a GIANT locker room at my gym.

Have you ever gotten to the gym and realized you didn’t have your headphones or a pair of socks? I have! This was especially terrible when I was working out over lunch and had to go back to work, but realized I didn’t have a bra. Depending on what time of day you work out, you might need certain things in your gym bag. I typically work out first thing in the morning, and my house is on my way from my gym to my work. So I go home to shower instead of showing at the gym. However, if I workout over lunch I need to be able to clean up and head back to work.

Firs off, here is my current gym bag. I mentioned it in my June Favorites post, which can be found here. I love that it easily transitions from on your shoulder to a backpack.

Here’s a list of items in my bag that I cannot live without.

  • Chapstick (Maybe a weird item to NEED in a gimbal, but I always have to put chapstick on before working out, I cannot stand working out with dry lips, call me a weirdo)
  • Dry shampoo (check out our post on our favorites here)
  • Deodorant
  • Protein bar/snack
  • Hair ties (I didn’t have a hair tie and had to use a headband as one once)
  • Headband
  • Extra pair of socks
  • Extra sports bra (I once forgot one on cardio day)
  • Wireless headphones
  • Water bottle
  • Gym lock
  • Heart rate monitor chest strap
  • Hand sanitizer (gyms are disgusting)
  • Face wipes

Items I have but don’t use everyday

  • Makeup Bag
  • Body Care (lotion, soap, etc)
  • Jump Rope
  • A brush
  • Shower sandals
