Cleo Harper Reign Legging Review

I’m a big fan of the sports bras that Australian companies make. I don’t know what it is, but the brand I’ve tried (Lorna Jane, White Fox, Cleo Harper), they don’t use cheap padding. However, I’d say it’s been hit or miss on leggings from Australian companies. They are all nice, but I have high standards.

I loved the Cleo Harper sports bras I tried, and even wore them as swim tops in Hawaii. You can check out my full review of those HERE! Let’s get back to leggings though, cause that’s what you came here for.

I’d been debating trying Cleo Harper leggings for some time now, and when I saw the Reign Legging in Leopard print as part of the Artistry collection…I knew I had to have them! I also bought another Coco Bralet in Navy, but like I mentioned you can read about those HERE.

Their size chart is not incredibly helpful, as it only has measurements for bust or hip…where’s the waist? I usually stick with a size small in brands I’ve never tried before, and it worked this time too. Based on the two measurements on their size chart I would have fit in an extra small, but I also knew that these leggings have a seam at the top of the waist, so I decided to stick with my “I don’t know this brand, I’ll get a size small” guideline.

I really like these leggings, and the seam at the top of the waist band doesn’t bother me at all. I also didn’t have any issues with the front seam either. The material is a blend of 74% Polyester and 27% Elastane. They have that smooth, sleek feeling rather than cotton-y or “Align” feeling to them. I’ve actually come to really like leggings made out of this fabric combo.

I tested these leggings out for a leg day workout and ended with incline walking on the treadmill. I didn’t have any issues with the leggings falling down (that’s what the seam on the waistband is for), and the pattern really helps hide sweat. I didn’t test them but I’d be willing to bet that if you wear bright colored underwear with them, you’ll see it. So just don’t do that…

What’s my overall thought? If you have the money to spend and want to try them, go for it! I really like mine, although I feel like I probably won’t wear them too often because I won’t want to mess them up. I’m a weirdo like that.
