Tropeaka Review

I don’t know what the deal is with my stomach, but I have a hard time handling protein powder. It doesn’t matter if it is whey or vegan, a lot of them really irritate my stomach. However, I’ve finally found one that doesn’t! I totally fell on the bandwagon with this one, but I figured what the heck. The worst thing that could happen is that it’s like every other protein powder I have. I’ve only tried two products so far, but I’m really excited about trying more protein and other products in the future. The only downside is, it’s pretty pricey, but I’m willing to pay extra to not feel bloated or uncomfortable.

Who is Tropeaka? They are a 100% Australian owned company devoted to providing premium quality ingredients and products to their consumers. They claim to be “The home of health-boosting nutrition!” I first heard about the brand by following Sarah’s Day on Instagram. After about 6 months of considering trying the products, I decided it was time.

Oddly enough I decided to try to the Lean Salted Caramel Protein. I’m not sure why I chose salted caramel over vanilla, because I’m not incredibly partial to anything salted caramel. I guess I was intrigued. Honestly, it’s delicious, and it’s not too sweet or too salty, it’s the perfect balance of the two. Although, I am really excited to try the Lean Vanilla Protein with my next purchase. I also decided to try the Tone BCAA+ in Passion Fruit. They have a new Raspberry Tone BCAA+ which I really want to try!

Here’s a little more info about both products:

Tropeaka Protein  Salted Caramel Protein

  • Lean Salted Caramel Protein – The powder blends really well for being vegan. I honestly don’t even use it in smoothies, because it tastes so good. I simply mix it with coconut milk and either blend in my Ninja or shake it up in my shaker cup. I haven’t tried baking or anything else with it yet, but plan to at some point. I was really surprised when I looked at the back of the package and saw that it contained caffeine. I was a little worried, because I really try not to consume any caffeine. I messaged the company about how much caffeine was present, because I didn’t see it anywhere on the website. Their response was “the amount is so minuscule it’s virtually nothing – it’s only from the tiny amount of green tea extract.” So that made me feel better about it.

Passion Fruit BCAAs BCAA Nutrition Facts

  • Tone BCAA+ PassionFruit – I decided to try this product, because I primarily drink water, and I simply wasn’t drinking enough. The flavor…isn’t bad, but it’s weird. You know how our sense of smell has the ability to remind us of memories or take us back to a particular place? Well, to me, this tastes like Bath and Body Works Peach body spray from 6th Grade smells. I honestly can’t say I’ve used it since then, but it reminds me of it. Once you get beyond that, it’s not bad, but like I mentioned, I’m really interested in the raspberry flavor. As far as the actual product, it dissolves pretty easily into a bottle of water, you just have to shake it up or stir it.

I actually ended up buying a few more products during their Black Friday sale, so now I have extra Lean Salted Caramel Protein, Lean Vanilla Protein, and the Tone BCAA+ in Raspberry, which are delicious by the way!
